Lesser Celandine (Ranunculus ficaria) a.k.a Pilewort

This little yellow flower you will see dotted along damp verges is highly astringent & a very useful plant for all you hemorrhoid sufferers.

It is NOT taken internally but usually used as a salve or suppository applied or inserted into the anus.

The ariel parts of the plant are used but interestingly if you pull up a little bit of the root, you will see they resemble hemorrhoids, if you have had the pleasure of viewing any close up!

So if you do suffer with hemorrhoids & fancy applying this little drop of sunshine where the sun doesn't shine, do get in touch. I make a wonderful salve!
