As a Herbalist, I can't make any medical claims about my products & this makes it hard to let you know what you can use them for. This is why I have the 'Ask a Herbalist' chat option online as I am able to advise directly. I want to give everyone access to Herbal Medicine so people can use plants confidently at home to look after their health. We are so lucky in this area to have such a diversity of plants that we can use safely as medicines or to create chemical free household products, cosmetics... & most of them grow right here around us.
These so-called weeds have supported human health for generations. Everyone deserves to know about them. When we do, we can take control of our health in the most natural way possible whether it be a cough, a cold, a skin condition or management of chronic disease, diet & herbal medicine play a predominant role in regaining, maintaining & protecting your health.
Gwen's Garden salves are handmade by myself using high quality medicinal herbs which were manufactured in accordance with GMP guidelines. They have been safety assessed & each has been awarded a Cosmetic Product Safety Report. Registered with CPNP (Cosmetic Product Notification Portal) & ECAS (European Commission Authentication Service).
The slow, warm infusion method I use gently extracts the full spectrum of a plant’s constituents ~ creating a more complete, effective product without relying on essential oils which can irritate sensitive skin.
I make these products because people deserve to have access to something safe which the whole family can benefit from.
Why Gwen’s Garden?
Gwen was my grandmother, and Gwen is also my daughter. Gwen’s Garden has never been just one place ~ it’s wherever we’ve lived together. A family garden, full of useful plants and food. A space for growing, learning, and sharing.
Everything you see ~ from making the salves to the stickers, herb collection, flyers and packaging ~ has grown slowly over the years, on a shoestring.
So, Gwen’s Garden felt like the most natural name. It holds the memory of good times, young children and years of connection to plants & the natural world.
Production
Gwen's Garden Oils & Salves
Gwen’s Garden products are made in the traditional way, using high-quality dried medicinal herbs grown in the UK.
The active constituents are slowly extracted by gently warming the herbs in oil for 12–18 hours. After pressing and straining, beeswax is added to achieve the desired consistency.
This process creates a superior whole-plant extraction, unlike many commercial balms that rely on base oils blended with large amounts of essential oils — which can irritate sore or sensitive skin.
Made with 100% natural ingredients, each salve is crafted with care to support real skin needs.
